Pope Shenouda III bans political campaigning in churches

The Pope Shenouda III instructed the candidates for the election of the Coptic Orthodox Church, not to use the churches in advertising the elections their own and do not mix religion with politics, or use of any expressions of religion. It is noteworthy that the number of Coptic candidates in the elections of the People's Assembly and Shura nearly so far to 19 candidates, said Karim Kamal, general coordinator of the movement of national unity, he should have been paid on the heads of their party lists in support of their chance to win.
