Bishop Aggai

Aggai was a disciple of Addai, who is belived to have fulfilled his duties from 66 to 87. He preached in various different regions of the East. Aggai began to sermon throughout Persia, Assyria, Armenia, Media, Babylonia and in the region of Khuzistan and among the Geles. Abgar’s son had succeeded him as King in Edessa. Being frightened, that the faith of Edessa might decline, due to the native superstition of Abgar’s son, Aggai came to Edessa. The tradition states that one of the sons of King Abgar V of Edessa have murdered Aggai in a church
